Program Overview
The Perkins Entrepreneurship Training and Leadership Institute provides an annual Internship opportunity to qualified business education students to study entrepreneurship education from a practical viewpoint. Students will have the opportunity to obtain first hand knowledge of how to start, grow, and manage a small business through specific learning outcomes taught by Perkins Management Services Company Chairman, President, and CEO Nicholas M. Perkins. The 7 day Summer Internship is designed to provide students with a first hand view of the importance of wealth and job creation through the development of sustainable businesses. Specific learning outcomes will target.

Internship Opportunity

Eligible Areas:
The PETLDI is open to Sophmore and Junior business majors.
Eligibility:
• Applicants must be 18 years of age
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents
Application Evaluation:
Applications will be evaluated based on:
• GPA
• Relevance of completed courses in business curriculum
• Writing skills
• Interest in starting or expanding a business
• Two Letters of Recommendation

All applicants will receive timely notification of status.

Funding:
Most participants are funded by PMSC through scholarship/internship paid to college during academic year for this purpose. The PETLDI program will fully cover the costs of participation including travel, food, housing, and materials.
